About Software Brewers
Howdy XBIers!
This site is for alumni of Software Brewers, Inc. – the Philippines’ elite group of software engineers from 1987 to 1999. I am not sure yet what we’ll do here, maybe discuss software and technologies ( Didn’t RT say “My guys write compilers for breakfast!” ? ) but I suspect we’ll probably gossip and share experiences or whatever, perhaps reminisce. At the very least, I hope to bring us together and find some long lost friends.
For starters, I am inviting you guys to apply for a brewsoft.com email address. Please choose the one we assigned to you before ( normally your nickname, hence mine is bobet@brewsoft.com, and Mary Ann’s is mao@brewsoft.com ) , so that others could write to you using the familiar address. Our hosting company is Yahoo, which has pretty powerful spam filters, so I hope we don’t see gazillions of spam mail when you log in.
On a second note, I am doing an experiment too, and I would like to request that if you have a website ( or blog ), to please put a link to www.brewsoft.com. If you have websites or public profiles (e.g. the LinkedIn profiles) profiles that you’d like me to link to, please write to me ( bobet@brewsoft.com of course! ) and I’ll link to you somehow.
I’ll be describing the experiment in subsequent posts ( mainly so that I have something to write about ). It has something to do with “How to Get Rich By Gossiping with Friends”. If I don’t get money-rich,
I’ll probably be gossip-rich and would have immensely enjoyed the experience.
